A kettle, dispenser, dishwasher or instant tap is not heating
Quick answer
A dishwasher, kettle, bucket heater, water dispenser or heated tap is different from the home's water heater. Identify the appliance and contact its manufacturer or an appliance repair specialist. Do not use it if its cord, casing or water seals are damaged.
Is the fault in the appliance or the hot water supply?
If other hot taps work normally, the problem may be local to the appliance or its connection. Dishwashers can have their own heating and control system; a Bosch dishwasher fault does not establish that the household water heater is broken.
Record the model, fault message and when it stopped heating. Use the maker's troubleshooting instructions for checks a user can safely perform. Do not dismantle live components or defeat a lid, temperature or dry run safety control.
Jugs, bucket heaters and dispensers
Do not put hands into water containing an energized immersion device or use a damaged portable heater. Follow the device's fill level, electrical and shutdown instructions. Unplug a portable appliance before user cleaning, where its instructions allow cleaning.
A replacement element, thermostat or cord must be approved for the exact appliance. A general water heater kit is not a substitute. Some sealed appliances are intended to be replaced or serviced only by an authorized provider.
Instant and point of use taps
Identify whether the unit is an electric tankless tap, a small storage tank or a dispenser. Their plumbing and power arrangements differ. QWH does not service electric tankless units or ordinary household appliances; use the appropriate appliance, plumbing or electrical specialist.
