Tank Specs

Pros
  • Salt softeners are the ONLY way to truly remove hard minerals from your water
  • Leaves dishes and shower windows clean and scale free
  • Hard minerals will not be able to cause damage by eating into plumbing and fixtures
  • Less plumbing damage will result in lower plumbing repair bills
  • Extends the life of water using appliances and fixtures (except traditional water heaters)
  • Reduces the amount of soap you will use for showering, dishes and laundry
  • Leaves skin and hair feeling soft and vibrant (best with 6 stage system)
  • Clothing washed in soft water will last significantly longer
Cons
  • All water softeners should have a whole house purification system inline before the softener
  • If a whole house purification system is not installed water softener damage will occur
  • Water softeners waste water down the drain in order to flush collected hard minerals. About 80 gallons every two weeks
  • They can be somewhat costly to install if your home needs to be retrofitted to accept a water softener
  • They flush salt water down the drain during bi-weekly regeneration
  • They will eat away at traditional water heaters resulting in premature decay
    • Most companies will not tell you this but we have seen this happen hundreds of times over the years
  • Water softeners can leave you feeling “slippery” when showering
Info
  • Water softeners are great for protecting your home from the damaging effects of hard water
  • Warning Chlorine is a corrosive gas that eats plastic and rubber. The media used in water softeners decays when chlorine is not removed from water supply.  Eventually the softener will not effectively remove hard minerals from water. We highly recommend adding a whole house purification system before the water softener. This will insure your softener will last a life time. Chlorine is not ideal to shower in as the gas is absorbed directly into your skin as well as your lungs.
Warranty
  • 15 year warranty on exchange tank and salt tank
  • 5 year warranty on parts
  • 5 year no questions asked labor warranty
Maintenance
  • Automatic softener maintenance
  • Must add salt to tank once a month or two. One salt bag usually takes care of it
  • Test system every 5 years to insure system is working properly.

Info

We have designed this whole house filtration system to reduce the effects of hard water without the hassle of a salt softener. In addition to solving the hard water problem we have integrated a protective media to extend the life of scale stop media. This system has no wasteful back flush system. Removing the drain line allows us to install this unit in almost any home. The removal of the drain line keeps the installation cost down as well. Keep in mind, if hard water is your number one concern you MUST buy a water softener.  Water softeners remove the minerals from water. TAC media does not remove minerals. Instead it reformats the minerals so they don’t stick to fixtures and glass. Click below to see the science behind TAC technology.
