About the included parts

Companies quote low prices over the phone only to nickel and dime you on the parts below. We don't like the bait and switch tactics. All our parts are included.

Drip Pan

Eventually your water heater will leak water. This pan is designed to catch the water and divert it to a safe place. With Quick, you always get a new pan.

Earthquake Straps

Earthquake straps are required to keep your water heater upright in case of an earthquake. If they are not installed properly you can cause a fire and flood at the same time. The straps are critical to a proper installation.

Exhaust Venting

Water heaters have a few types of vent material. Over time they can corrode and decay. We will provide and install new vent pieces where needed to insure long life. (we only replace parts from the ceiling down)

Sediment Trap

City gas lines can have dirt and other contaminants in them. If these contaminates get into your gas control valve they will break the unit. This trap prevents damage to the control unit.

Installation Hardware

In order to fit your water heater properly into place we need to use shims and other hardware to insure a perfect fit. We include all these parts in the price.

Gas Line

A new gas line needs to be used on every new installation. The compression fittings can only be compressed once. The gas line needs to be changed to prevent leaks.

Water Shut Off Valve

Water Shut off valve for your new water heater. This allows you to shut off the water to your water heater without turning off the water to the whole house. This valve is used to service your water heater in the future.

Gas Valve

A properly sized gas valve should be installed to prevent errors with the water heater. The valve must work if needed. A new valve is always installed.

Water Lines

Water supply lines need to be changed with every water heater installation. If you don't change them you risk a flood in your house.

Installation Hardware

The Pressure release valve as well as your water heater needs to be plumbed with copper tubing and fittings. We also include all copper fittings and tubing necessary to install your water heater to code.

Add the 10 Year manufactures upgraded warranty?

Upgrade to a 10 year manufacturer warranty. If the water heater leaks within 10 years, you get a brand new water heater for FREE. Pays for itself 10 times over.

Home Type

Depending on your home type we will need to use a specific type of water heater. Tank water heaters for condos and town homes are more expensive, but it is important to specify this.

Why is there a price difference?

Condos and townhomes often require a power vent water heater. These water heaters are used when the builder of the condo or townhome was not able to run an exhaust vent through the ceiling. In this case, a water heaters vent must exit through an exterior wall. Because of this, power vent water heaters are almost always used in condos or town homes.

Power vent water heaters are not sold in retail home improvement stores. At this price tankless might be worth considering.

Add a Water Softener System?

Water softeners are designed to remove minerals that cause scale to build up in your pipes, hair, clothes, dishes, showers, dishwashers and of course water heaters. The result leaves your skin feeling soft and your house sparkling clean. Watch the video below to see for yourself.

Add Whole House Purification?

The whole house purification system removes chlorine, chloramines, fluoride and other harmful contaminants from your water. This not only protects your body, but also prevents water softener media and plumbing gaskets from chlorine corrosion. Chlorine eats plastic and rubber which causes leaks.

Summary, Warranty & Maintenance

It’s main purpose is to protect you from the following

• Ruining your salon treated hair

• Drying out your skin

• aded your clothing

• Damaging plumbing parts

• Reducing fluoride to give you drinking water at every faucet.

The 3 main chemicals we are trying to remove are 1. Chlorine 2. Chloramines 3. fluoride. Chlorine and chloramines are great for disinfecting city water but not great for your body. Chloramines are chlorine bonded with ammonia. They are great at keeping bacteria out of tap water and causing havoc to your body. Lastly, the whole house purification system removes Fluoride.

Each major contaminant requires a different filtration media.

• STAGE 1 activated carbon pulls out chlorine and 99% of other contaminants. Chlorine and chloramines are corrosive. Chlorine in city water is diluted but the effects are compounded every time you shower. Chlorine and Chloramines cause slowly leaking toilets and Leaking faucets. Chlorine and chloramines leave your hair brittle, colorless and dry your skin out. Since Chlorine is a gas in its natural state it escapes the water coming out of your shower and quickly absorbs into you via your lungs and skin.

• STAGE 2 catalytic carbon attacks the chlorine and Amonia bond that creates Chloramines. In basic terms chloramines are bleach combined with ammonia. Clearly Amonia and bleach are not ideal to shower in.

• STAGE 3 is bone char carbon: it’s designed to reduce fluoride in water. The objective is to achieve bottled water quality at every faucet in your home.

Chlorine and chloramines also affect your plumbing in ways you might not be aware of. Chlorine is highly corrosive and eats plastic and rubber. The affects of chlorine decay are slowly leaking toilets and leaking faucets. The whole house purification tank also protects the resin media in the softener from decay and failure.

Pros

• Zero waste water, no back flushing water down the drain

• Can be used in condos and homes without waste water drain

• Less plumbing damage will result in lower plumbing repair bills

• System will pay for itself in 5 years or less. $1000/person in bottled water/year

• Leaves skin and hair feeling soft and vibrant

Cons

• Media will need to be replaced every 7-12 years.

Warranty

• 15 year warranty on tank

• 5 year warranty on parts

• 5 year no questions asked labor warranty

Maintenance

• No regular maintenance

• 7-12 year filter life on carbon media

Add a Pressure Regulator?

Proper water pressure is critical to a healthy water heater and plumbing system. High pressure spikes cause floods and damage to all areas of your plumbing system especially your appliances. A pressure regulator helps keep your water pressure at safe levels.

Should I get a pressure regulator?

The Pressure regulating valve AKA pressure regulator is a critical part of your plumbing system. The pressure regulator is responsible for reducing high city water pressure. San Diego and Orange County water pressure can reach 200psi in city main lines. High water pressure is responsible for leaking faucets, toilets, shorten water heater life and flooding.

For example, when you over inflate a balloon it will eventually pop. High pressure will cause your plumbing system to eventually fail in the form of water leaking from a pipe, faucet or an appliance. Without a properly working pressure regulator your house is subject to damaging and costly spikes in city water pressure.

Water Savings

Water under high pressure will flow out of your faucets much faster than water regulated to 60PSI. At 60 PSI you will have plenty of water and you wont let most of it go down the drain. A new pressure regulator will help you save money on your water bill.

*Price above is for 3/4 inch. Larger size pressure regulator increase price.

Expansion Tank

An expansion tank is used to absorb pressure spikes created from your water heater. When water heats up, it expands. The expansion tank absorbs pressure spikes from the expanding water, which protects your tank and plumbing from damage.

Summary & Benefits

When water is heated it will expand. The expanding water creates high pressure in your plumbing system. High pressure is very bad for your water heater and plumbing system in general. It can cause your appliances and pipes to fail prematurely. Premature failure almost always results in water where you don’t want it to be.

Keep in mind. If your pressure regulator is not working properly your expansion tank will not work properly. It is best to change them together to ensure that one doesn’t cancel the other out.

Benefits

The expansion tank extends the life of all your appliances and plumbing fixtures in your home. An expansion tank will usually curb water hammer and banging pipes.

When used in conjunction with a pressure regulator it will prevent leaky faucets, toilets that fill without flushing, broken ice makers, damaged dishwasher and malfunctioning RO systems.
